TrueValueCab ("we", "us", "our") provides outstation and local cab booking and car rental services from Surat, Gujarat. TrueValueCab is currently an independently operated business and is not registered as a separate corporate entity; references to "TrueValueCab" throughout this policy mean the business as operated from Surat, Gujarat, India.

This Privacy Policy covers information collected through our website, the booking form, our contact and account pages, and any communication you have with us in connection with a booking or enquiry. By using our website or booking a service with us, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Email address (where provided)
• Account login information, if you create an account

Booking information

• Pickup city and drop-off city
• Travel date and time
• Trip type (one-way, round trip, or local)
• Booking status and history

Location information

Our booking form asks you to type your pickup and drop-off city names — we do not currently request or collect precise GPS or device location through our website. See Location Data below for more detail.

Technical information

• IP address (used, among other things, to apply rate limits that protect our booking and login forms from abuse)
• Browser and device information sent automatically by your browser
• Pages visited on our site

Communication information

• Messages you send us through our contact form
• Enquiries and customer support communication
• Records of booking-related emails, SMS, or WhatsApp messages sent to you

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and confirm your booking
• Contact you to confirm the vehicle and exact fare for your trip
• Send booking-related notifications and updates

Pickup and drop-off locations you enter are used to calculate your route, provide a fare, and inform the driver assigned to your trip. These are entered by you as city names on our booking form — our website does not currently request browser or device GPS/location permissions, and we do not track your location outside of the pickup/drop-off details you provide for a specific booking.

Our Contact page embeds a Google Maps view showing our own office location — this does not collect or transmit your location to us.

We currently use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to protect your session (for example, an authentication cookie set when you log in to your account or the admin panel). We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies on our website. If that changes in the future, we will update this section accordingly.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking our essential cookie will prevent you from staying signed in to an account.

TrueValueCab does not currently process online card payments through our website — we do not collect or store your card details. Trip fares are settled directly with our team via cash, UPI, card payment in person, or bank transfer, as agreed at the time of booking or trip completion.

If we introduce online payment processing in the future, that payment would be handled by a third-party payment provider, and this policy will be updated to explain what information is shared with them.

We share information only as needed to provide our services:

• With the driver assigned to your trip, so they can contact you and complete the pickup
• With service providers who help us operate our website and communications (see Third-Party Services below)
• With legal or regulatory authorities where required by law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We retain booking and contact records for as long as reasonably necessary for customer service, accounting, and legal or regulatory purposes. Account information is retained while your account remains active. You may contact us to request deletion of your information, subject to any legitimate business or legal reason we may need to retain specific records.

We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect your information, including:

• Passwords stored using industry-standard one-way hashing, never in plain text
• Rate limiting on login, booking, and enquiry forms to reduce automated abuse
• Access to admin functionality restricted to authenticated staff accounts
• Uploaded images stored in private cloud storage, not directly publicly accessible
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our website

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using these and other reasonable measures.

Our services are intended for use by adults capable of entering into a booking arrangement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Some of the service providers listed above operate infrastructure that may be located outside India. Where information is processed outside India, we rely on those providers' own security and compliance practices and take reasonable steps to work only with reputable providers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
